Position Specific DescriptionIn this role, you'll gain hands-on experience through stimulating security projects and learn from industry experts in the Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management space. You will join a top-notch team focused on battling the villains of the virtual world. The NextEra Cyber group is looking for cyber warriors to join us as we revolutionize cybersecurity infrastructure. In this role, you will be part of a team that provides regulatory and compliance support in the area of Identity & Access Management. You will support the oversight, guidance, remediation and timely resolution of issues and improvement of the security and control effectiveness of the general cyber security environment. You will work cross functionally across the enterprise with other teams including BU leaders, technology project managers, and business function subject matter experts.Position requires:
  • Knowledge and appreciation of business processes, data structures, IT applications and infrastructure, IT processes, and governance and security control principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the context of security, related regulations, industry standards and guidance
  • Experience with audit response and remediation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
What youll do:
  • Builds processes and tools to provide the business visibility of cybersecurity risks and drive accountability
  • Develops and maintains policies, standards, processes, and procedures to assess, monitor, report, escalate and remediate cyber risk while maintaining corporate compliance with mandated security regulations
  • Assesses and reviews security and controls to ensure sustainable regulatory compliance
  • Develops processes and monitoring to identify, quantify, analyze, and report risk and compliance status
  • Coordinates cyber risk management efforts including identification, assessment, tracking and resolution of risk management activities across all levels of the organization
  • Assists with training, including training material development and deployment to ensure that compliance and risk becomes a sustainable business practice
  • Gathers and prepares documentation to support audits, assessments, data requests, etc

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a Full time student seeking a bachelors degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High school grad/GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
