Role Description: As a senior member of the Training & Simulation team, the Solution Architect (Software) will play a critical role in shaping the strategic software solutions for the Maritime Synthetic Core (MSC). This position requires innovative problem solving and a deep understanding of software architecture within synthetic training environments.

Core Duties:

  • Develop, document, and maintain MSC software architectures, ensuring clear communication and alignment with broader team objectives.
  • Design robust software architectures for training and simulation products, focusing on modernization, modularity, and integration of new capabilities.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of software configuration management processes and toolsets.
  • Support product integration and system architecture efforts across multiple project teams.
  • Contribute to bid proposals, ensuring comprehensive solution design and accurate software estimation.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient with host infrastructure systems and diverse software development languages.
  • Familiarity with network communications for both local and wide-area setups.
  • In-depth knowledge of synthetic environments and High Level Architecture (HLA).
  • Understanding of training systems, combat system capabilities, and their integration.
  • Up-to-date on technology trends and potential future direction
  • Expertise in designing integrated solutions involving system software and third-party applications
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills tailored to complex system and software challenges
  • Ability to independently drive significant portions of the software design process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and effectively communicating complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
